As a teacher, I believe ICT theory paper 1 is easier to pass provided the students tried their best to follow the following procedures:
- Don’t study hard but study smart: Majority of the students are not aware the differences between studying hard and smart. IGCSE Cambridge questions are usually applied questions. Cambridge will never ask you ‘what is’ question or ‘definition’ questions. The reason behind this is that some centers around the world, students might get opportunities to check the internet and Google out some answers, or checking their textbook for a clue or direct answer. As such, Cambridge don’t ask direct questions
- Question types: Cambridge usually ask applied questions especially any questions above 4 marks. When you study a topic or chapter in your ICT curriculum, students are expected to familiarize themselves to how Cambridge asks question on such chapter.
- Practice: they used to say there’s nothing new under the earth. the more you practice past year questions, the higher your chance of easily scoring A* in your exam with less effort.
